Book For Mountain presents VOLUNTOURISM Keningar Village – Mount Bromo on December 29, 2011 – January 1, 2012.
This program aims to invite the travelers to contribute directly to the local people as volunteers. We wish, the participant will recognize the local wisdom of Tengger tribe.
Other reason is we would like to revitalize the economic sector of Ngadirejo Village and tourism sector of Semeru-Tengger-Bromo National Park after the Bromo Eruption.
In this program, the local people take part as well. We use some of their houses as homestay, local motor-bikers as voluntourist’s transportation, and provide the vegetable seeds to the local farmer.
Ten per cent of the fee will be use as books donation for children library on Mount Kerinci, Book For Mountain’s next project in January 2012.

07.00-08.00 Welcome speech and have a breakfast at local people’s house

09.00-11.30 Teaching at Elementary School
11.30-13.30 Jumat Praying (for Moslem men) and take a rest
13.30-18.00 Hiking to Cemoro Lawang (2 hrs climb, the special track of Ngadirejo people to enjoy Bromo and its sand dunes)
19.00-19.30 Dinner at local people’s house
20-00-21.00 Dialogue with the owner of the house

07.00-10.00 Planting the cabbage and potato seeds, together with the local farmer

13.00-17.00 Have a Tengger cultural training from SD Ngadirejo students (Kidung Jawa, Ngremo Dance, and Karawitan)

16.00-18.00 Closing ceremony with students and local people, and also give the musical instruments to SD Ngadirejo as souvenir, closed with ethnical performances from the children

For this 3D 4N program, you only charged 650.000 IDR for executive bus Jogja-Bromo (return), accommodation and transportation, 3 times meal everyday, and super unforgettable experiences.
